Larry Purcell will share about his exciting research using drones to help determine nitrogen needs in corn. In this video, Dr. Purcell shows how he uses a consumer drone to capture field data and discusses how to interpret the results.

Purcell is a Distinguished Professor of crop physiology and holder of the Altheimer Chair for Soybean Research in the department of crop, soil and environmental sciences. His research focuses on genetic differences in the efficiency with which crops use essential resources, like water and nitrogen.
