CattleTrace Pilot Program

By: K-State Research and Extension, Kansas State University

Kansas State University researchers are partnering with the Kansas Department of Agriculture, producers and industry to pilot the CattleTrace program which will use RFID tags to monitor and track 55,000 head of cattle to demonstrate disease traceability, with the idea that this will be the foundation of a national system that can be created in a proactive, industry-driven manner.
